Letter, 1862 July 10.

C. Cutler at Camp Chase, writes to his father; "I want to ask your advice about entering the service for the war under the new call. It seems to me that a great many men of my cloth will have to turn out before 300,000 are raised and the country after all is worth more than anything else. ...we have had some fun here. Examining the prisons, we found four holes or mines well started by which they might have got out in a week or two." A copy of Reverend Cutlers' obituary, from a Cleveland newspaper is also included.
